Butch Closet ; paper lithograph, india ink ; 76.5" x 6.5 "

I am afraid I will forget your warmth ; multi-layer screenprint ; 9” x 11”
" I am afraid I will forget your warmth memorializes a longing found
within objects associated with a long-distance partner. Cloth and fur act
as an attempt to replace touch, their tactility being highlighted through
screen-printed, bitmapped textures. Despite the object’s origins of longing,
they are placed within a golden locket frame, which transforms them into
a reminder of love. Ultimately, this piece depicts a temporary cure for the
most painful aspect of being long-distance. One much more affectionate
than daily connections made through modern technology.
'Not a day goes by that I don’t wish they were here beside me, but for
now, I will hold close what I can.' "
